Welcome to the new decade! We’ve been really busy for the past month, but even though we’ve been busy, there’s not too much going on but we do have some news…
The biggest news is that Daniel is engaged to be married. To my knowledge they have not set a date. He set the bar really high by proposing at Epcot Center just before the 9PM fireworks display. Of course Holli said yes.
The other notable news is we now have an empty nest. Nan and I are starting to try to figure out what to do with the extra room. We think it’s going to be a combination recreation recreation (Wii) and guest room. We’ve pretty much emptied it out so now it’s time to clean the walls up of any blemishes and paint it. I have a little sanding to do around the newly installed window molding and then a fresh coat of paint.
We went to see our niece down in central Florida, she had a baby last month, so now I am a great uncle and Nan is a great aunt. We are very proud of our niece, she’s come a long way in a short time and she is now a very responsible person; I guess parenthood does that for most people. We look forward to seeing here and her new family as it grows.
We’re also thinking about having a yard sale… We’ve never had a yard sale so we have a lot of things to go through, we’ve collected a lot of junk over the years… it’s time to downsize… anyone have any advise let me know.
