Travel Blog Roboot

So we’ve bought our second travel trailer… I say second because it is… where is all of the info from our fist travel trailer… or what about all of the fun that was had when we had the Jeep… Unfortunately, all of that info is on Facebook.

For those who don’t follow on Facebook, here’s a quick recap…

In September 2013 we bought a Ruby Red Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that we affectionately called Ruby. We had it until May of 2016 when we bought our first travel trailer. It was a 2009ish Coachmen Freedom Express. It was 26 ft long and was a perfect starter unit for us. We were able to see if we liked RVing in it. We camped mostly local (to us) but dod take a big trip in the summer of 2016 (August to be exact) essentially around the Southeast. We camped in 5 different states during that trip, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinous, Missouri and Mississippi. Maybe someday I’ll recount the trip here…

In August of 2017 we camped at the Grand Ole RV Resort in Goodlettsville, TN with the specific purpose of getting in the “shadow” for the solar eclipse.

So here we sit now at Torreya State Park about 15 miles north of Bristol, Florida in the Eastern Time Zone even though cell phones say its Central.

We plan to blog about our adventures again and this time, instead of putting everything on Facebook, we’ll post here and post links to Facebook.

In the future I plan to incorporate “Grid Down” amateur radio practices and I’ll write about it at n2xu.net and on here too. I’ve got some good topics I plan to cover on amateur radio.

All of this is practice for one day when we quit our day jobs and go full-time. We’ve watched a lot of YouTube. A couple of channels I’ll call out here are run by The RV Odd Couple (https://rvoddcouple.com) and Traveling Robert (https://travelingrobert.com).
