Last night was a real treat. We stayed in Willow, AK at the Alaskan Host B&B.
We arrived late due to to the late arrival of our boat from the cruise. We stayed in the Alaska Room. When we got in the room I noticed two home video tapes. They were video of local wildlife and the Aurora Borealis. One of the really cool things is our host, Jim, is in the video at various times with Moose. He held a bow over his head and walked up to several of the moose. The video contained a tour of their B&B.
When we awoke we were greeted as friends and treated to a waffle breakfast with moose sausage. Nan was not used to the moose sausage, it tastes different because of the different flavors of the moose meat and the seasonings used to make it. Over breakfast we talked about the things that Jim and Kathy were working on to make the B&B nicer. We were given a small tour of the house. One of the rooms even has an outhouse in it!
We enjoyed the stay and the hospitality of our hosts, Jim and Kathy Huston. I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to stay. Thank you, we’re hooked on B&Bs.
